Rick and Morty Episode 47: Rick & Morty's Thanksploitation Spectacular

Rick and Morty attempt a National Treasure-style heist for the U.S. Constitution, but Morty accidentally destroys it and also damages other national monuments, triggering a hidden steam-powered robot inside the Statue of Liberty. Their actions put them on the President’s bad side and turn them into fugitives.

With the Smith house surrounded by the military and an anti-portal shield in place, Rick falls back on his usual Thanksgiving strategy: turning himself into a turkey to get a presidential pardon. The President anticipates the trick and sends turkey-transformed Marines to intercept him, but Rick still manages to draw him into the conflict.

As the turkey chase escalates, the President personally transforms himself into a turkey and fights Turkey Rick. During their battle, the tracking chip that would later identify the President for reversal is swallowed by an ordinary turkey, which becomes a human-turkey hybrid and effectively takes the President’s place.

That development pushes the episode into a larger crisis involving turkey soldiers and a plan to transform turkeys across the country. Rick, Morty, and the President work together to open a hidden crypt beneath the Lincoln Memorial, releasing ancient aliens who quickly wipe out the humanoid turkey forces. The fight continues as the Turkey President launches the Washington Monument into space as part of the mass-transformation scheme, while Rick and Morty race to stop it and the two Presidents battle each other directly.

Rick and Morty destroy the device meant to turn all turkeys into humanoid soldiers, though Morty also destroys the Washington Monument in the process. The episode ends with the alien beings returning to suspended animation and Rick, Morty, and the President standing amid the wreckage, reflecting on being thankful.
