Rick and Morty Episode 58: Full Meta Jackrick

Rick and Morty begin with a **recap** that Rick immediately senses is wrong, and they discover they are being manipulated by a strange creature called **Previous Leon**, who uses a venom-like recap effect to force them into a looping, meta-style version of their own adventures. Rick and Morty fight through the opening title sequence, with Leon attacking Morty and Rick chasing him down until Leon escapes through a **hole in the fourth wall**, which Rick then follows with Morty into the **Meta Reality**.

Inside this meta layer, Rick and Morty confront Leon again, but Leon calls in **Jesus Christ**, who then summons **Story Lord**, an old enemy who reveals that he is tired of being just a character in someone else’s story and wants real motivation and significance. While Jesus fights Rick and Morty, Story Lord betrays Jesus, and Leon ambushes Story Lord by trapping him in recap venom, after which Rick knocks Leon out and plans to take him to the **Self-Referential Six**.

Rick makes a deal with **Rhett Caan** and frees him from confinement, but this immediately backfires when the Self-Referential Six arrive and Rhett Caan kills **Connie** with coffee and incapacitates **Mr. Twist** by removing his bones. Meanwhile, Rick and Morty are stranded in a frozen, storyless void in the Meta Reality until **Joseph Campbell** arrives and rescues them, along with Leon.

Campbell helps them regain a path forward, and the episode shifts into a final confrontation where Rick and Morty face Story Lord and the forces around him. Rick and Morty ultimately stop the plan to drain motivation from the universe, and the episode ends with Story Lord being defeated by his own creator, who turns on him rather than continuing to empower him.
