Spartacus Episode 21: Balance
While Spartacus finds an opportunity to get revenge, Glaber is surrounded by intrigue.
Full recap
Spartacus and Gannicus bring the captive **Ilithyia** to the rebel camp, where she desperately pleads for her life and the life of her unborn child. She shocks Spartacus by revealing that the child she carries is **his**, not Glaber’s, saying it was conceived when Lucretia tricked her into sleeping with him.
Spartacus is torn between vengeance and restraint, and the episode focuses on that conflict. Ilithyia tries to persuade **Lucius** to send word to Capua and ask for help, but Spartacus instead has Lucius carry a message to Glaber. **Mira** tries to stop Spartacus from killing Ilithyia, arguing against murdering a woman who is pregnant, but Spartacus prevents her from intervening.
At the same time, Glaber and **Ashur** search the town for clues to Ilithyia’s whereabouts, tearing through brothels and killing anyone they suspect may know something. Ashur takes valuables from the dead as they search.
Later, Spartacus leads a blindfolded Ilithyia into the woods and sets her free after telling her that Glaber never intended to save her. He leaves her alive, choosing not to kill her, and the episode ends with that decision underscoring his effort to separate himself from Roman cruelty.
